                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 3600
                   BLOCK OF CUMMINGS ROAD, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST
                   LINE OF CUMMINGS ROAD AT LABELING WAY, FROM M-2
                   LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE AND C-1 HIGHWAY
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE TO M-1 MANUFACTURING ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
                A tract of land located in the 3600 block of
                Cummings Road, being on the northeast line of
                Cummings Road at Labeling Way.	 An unplatted
                tract, being part of the property described as
                Tract 1 in deed book 3758, page 172, ROHC.  Said
                unplatted tract begins at the intersection of the
                northeast line of Cummings Road with the southeast
                line of Labeling Way, said point being 638 feet
                southeast of the intersection of the northeast line
                of Cummings Road with the southeast line of
                Birmingham Highway, thence northeast 1300 feet with
                the southeast line of Labeling Way, and the
                extension thereof, thence southeast 700 feet,
                thence southwest 289 feet, thence southeast some
                57.82 feet to the northwest line of a private
                drive, thence with said private drive southwest
                235.42 feet, southwest 311.05 feet, and southwest
                348.8 feet to the northwest line of Old Cummings
                Road (now a private drive), thence southwest and
                northwest 706.22 feet with said Old Cummings Road
                to the northeast line of Cummings Road, thence
                northwest some 397.43 feet with Cummings Road to
                the southeast line of Labeling Way, the point of
                beginning.  Tax Map No. 154-9 (part).
               
               
               
         from M-2 Light Industrial Zone and C-1 Highway Commercial Zone 
to
         M-1 Manufacturing Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
